misunderstandings.

- Obtain Repair Number
Should you wish to proceed, your details will be
logged into our tracking system and you will be given an RMA (Repair Material
Authorisation) number for identification/monitoring progress of your repair.
- Remove unnecessary accessories
Send the laptop unless otherwise requested by our engineers. Unless authorised by
Notebooks UK, please do not send any items other than
the laptop computer itself as we cannot accept liability for their loss. i.e. no AC
adapters, no mains leads, no carry cases, no PCMCIA cards, no external devices &
no manuals. Please remove any disks from the CD drive.
- Pack your repair
Pack your laptop in bubble wrap and place into a stiff corrugated
box 50% bigger than the laptop – fill with either screwed up newspaper or loose-fill
so the laptop does not move when lid is closed & seal with packing tape.
- Label your box
Click here for a label. Please enter your RMA number and
contact details, print out and attach to box. Send item or wait for collection as applicable.
Notebooks UK also offers a collection and delivery service at additional charge.
Our collection/delivery system requires somebody to be home between 8am & 5pm. Courier
collections usually take place in the afternoon but are often unpredictable as far specific
time is concerned so if you have a schedule to keep or must go out at some stage we recommend
posting goods to us by Royal Mail Special Delivery to save time.
