1995 - Sales £170,000
Established working from back bedroom buying mainly private used computer notebooks objective was to provide reliable used notebooks to end user for less.
1996 - Sales £240,000
Employ 1 Technical Staff +1 Admin Staff still operating from back bedroom. Approx 30 notebooks stocked. Start stocking general spares & accesories
1997 - Sales £450,000
Credit Card Services approved. Stocking 40-50 notebooks. Stocking larger quantity of spares & accessories.
1998 - Sales £650,000
Bought new commercial offices + showroom. Stocking approx 70 notebooks. Employing 1 Specialist repair + extra technical staff employed. Now offering repair services.
1999 - Sales £730,000
Refitting new premises. Single phone line now permanently busy no room for extra stock. Spend £40K on fittings & security.
2000 - Sales £850,000
Moved into new premises. Telecoms services improved - 3 incoming lines + automatic swichboard. Commence work on new business-management software + phase 1 of website. Now stocking 120+ Machines, 2000+ spares, software. 98% of stock supplied comes from large institutions and the manufacturers themselves. Customers now include Schools, Colleges, Universities, British Steel, Motorolla,Police, Rolls Royce, and many more.
2001 - Sales £970,000
Exciting year for us with IT & Telecoms improving things for our customers we can now concentrate on phase 3 of website. E-commerce and CRM software in development - should enable automatic email to be sent to our customers when products are shipped with consignement tracking information. Pictures & online ordering should make a big improvement in web traffic. Now offering lowest priced repair service in UK. 400+ notebooks stocked, 10,000+ parts. Almost exclusively trading in the top makes only: Compaq, Toshiba, IBM, Sony, Dell, Panasonic & HP. It is more important to us to restrict ourselves to the above manufacturers to provide better product knowledge and more importantly better service & spares availability.
2002-to-date - Expected Sales £1.1M
Final Phase of web development now completing - database intergration almost complete. Deployment of all systems sheduled for late 2002 - if succesful then we should secure growth of 20% pa for a minimum of 3 years. More important than that - systems are made to make us more efficient - this we hope will benefit all our customers. Now employing 5 staff + Stocking approx 600+ Notebooks.
